| COMMENTS |
In 1971, RCA in the U.S. released the 4 LP box set WORLDWIDE GOLD AWARD HITS VOL. 2 - THE OTHER SIDES. Included inside for a limited time only (thought to be one month!) was a specail RCA envelope with a see through window and an authentic piece of Elvis' clothing inside. The box set itself is rare but finding JUST this promotional envelope / cloth is next to impossible. We found a few recently and we have them in the following colors - dark blue, red, yellow light blue, orange, and white Your choice but it's advisable to order now. We've see this item sold for as much as $200. Let us know which color you prefer.

This was a Japanese only compilation 78. The cover was a plain generic sleeve with black and white pictures of some of the RCA artists on one side (it's interesting that there's no Elvis pic!) and photos of various RCA record players and radios on the flip. Because the scanner wasn't large enough to show the complete cover we had to crop both sides. As to the condition of the paper cover it would have to be graded VG+ or better. No seams splits, tape or writing.

After 32 years of collecting Elvis records worldiwde I had no idea that there were Mexican 78's made until maybe three years ago. These are even rarer than Japanese 78's. This particular one was the SECOND 78 issued in Mexico and also has a different song coupling than any other country.

| COMMENTS |
If anyone reading this has this record I will be shocked, amazed, and stunned. Thanks to the great Denny Mitchell I have a copy. Ok, what is this MONSTER?? It is a U.S. BMG two sided gray label (NOTE that the scan does NOT represent the exact color of the label as in reality it is gray) 45 RPM that was issued in 2003 by BMG SPECIAL PRODUCTS. The other side contains the exact same label, song, etc as on the flip. It was made as a promotional tool for the ELVIS PRESLEY ILLUMINATED CD / RECORD PLAYER RADIO (which came out a few years ago and is now DELETED!) and was released during the ELVIS ON SUN campaign.
(NOTE: The actual display that was in stores is around 18" x 18". Please click on the bottom left photo for a larger version).
NO ONE (I repeat.....NO ONE!) EVEN KNOWS ABOUT THIS! This copy is TOTALLY 100% MINT! It comes in a plain white sleeve. You can't consider yourself a big Elvis vinyl collector if you don't have this baby!! You'd better get it now before it doubles or triples in price!
Please click on the label for a larger version. Also, please click on the photo (bottom left) to see a larger version of this great display. |

Any collector is familar with this MONSTER. It is the temporary cover that was made for EPA 747 and was sent to radio stations before RCA had a picture cover made. As we all know, this is really an envelope made of heavy paper. Letters are in dark blue. The copy we have for sale looks MUCH better than how it's pictured here in the photos. It's hard to grade the condition but trust me you'll love it. This is JUST the temporary sleeve and the record is not included but of course that's no big deal as the record is easy to find.

This was a 10 EP box set (title unknown) probably issued in January 1956 and is probaly the very first RCA promotional EP that RCA released with Elvis cuts on it. Only one EP had Elvis songs (Sides 7 and 14 - see photo) while the rest were by other RCA artists. Even after all these years, accurate information about this set has not surfaced. This is is the gray label which was probably made for jukebox operators. The Elvis track listing is below. The price is for the records (which are all MINT -) only as of this writing, no box has surfaced.

Based on the matrix number (J7OH 2287), this EP definitely was issued in 1958 and not 1956 as has been thought for years. This was a special promotional EP issued for WOHO radio in Toledo, Ohio. What is odd is that the white label record makes no mention of "WOHO" and only has "PROMOTION DISC" printed. Another odd thing about this release is why RCA would press a promotional record for one radio station. Please note that the non Elvis side has "JAN" written at the top. Also pleaee note that the larger scan does not depict the actual label as somehow the scan makes it look different but it is almost MINT!

When RCA made only a limited number of special V.I.P. box sets for Elvis' opening night July 31, 1969 Las Vegas appearance they also printed up a VERY FEW copies of the BOX with no date, etc on it. This was done so so it could be used for for any performance or promotion. The actual contents seems to vary from box to box. This is one of the RAREST Elvis items ever. The condition is incredible and it could easily be called MINT!!! The price is for the BOX ONLY!

This 2 LP booklet cover promo was issued in April 1973 to promote the just released twenty RCA 6101 - 6120 series of reissued LP's Sorry about the bad photo. This was taken with a digital camera and no matter how many times it was taken, the flas still appeared and it is MUCH better than what you see. There is circle wear on front / back and the upper and lower right hand corners are creased.
