These are "live" concerts recorded with professional equipment. During a concert the signal from the instruments usually channels through the central mixing station, or soundboard, before going to the PA system. A soundboard recording is a recording that takes place at ...the soundboard. These recordings are high quality and usually the best there is.

The book published by Pal Granlund of Norway and written by Tommy Edvardsen and Atle Larsen is an impressive 512 page document of all the outfits Elvis performed in through his career from 1968 and onwards. It is full of fantastic, previously unreleased, rare and classic photos, all linked together by Edvardsen and LarsenÕs text. It comes with two great soundboard CDs (see details below). Obviously it is a HUGE book that weighs at least seven pounds or more. The AIR postage alone from Europe is very, very expensive which accounts for the high retail price but I'm sure it will be more than worth it to serious Elvis book and CD collectors.
